Dr. Joyce

Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Joyce completed a general surgery residency at Loyola University Medical center where he was both Intern of the Year and Outstanding Chief Resident.

He has served as a Clinical Instructor at Loyola University, Assistant Professor of Surgery at University of Chicago, and Academic Director of Surgery and Chief Academic Officer at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn. Dr. Joyce also served as the Assistant Dean for University of Chicago's Biological Science Division and Pritzker School of Medicine at MacNeal Hospital.

As an experienced member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, Dr. Joyce specializes in weight loss surgery. Dr. Joyce performed the first open and laparoscopic gastric bypass, LAP-BAND™, REALIZE BAND™, and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy in Will and Grundy counties. And, he founded and developed BMI-Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Silver Cross Hospital.

Dr. Joyce has been recognized for several years as a Top Doc for outstanding patient satisfaction by Silver Cross Hospital.
